About peter

Peter’s life and legal career are rooted in his fundamental belief in standing up for those who are vulnerable and in need of someone in their corner to fight for them. It is this belief that has driven Peter to focus his nearly 30-year legal career on representing individuals throughout Central New York who have been injured or killed by someone else’s negligence. He has decades of experience negotiating and litigating with insurance companies on behalf of injured people and their families to help them obtain the justice they deserve.

Peter’s number one priority is ensuring that each client is able to focus on recovering while he works to ensure they receive the best possible results. You can feel comfortable focusing on your recovery and putting your case in Peter’s hands, as he has successfully handled a wide variety of cases involving automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, worksite injuries, dog bites, products liability, and other catastrophic injury cases throughout his twenty-eight years of practicing law. This success is reflected in the multi-million dollar settlements/verdicts he has obtained for individuals and their families and numerous awards.

Peter is native of Syracuse and has spent his entire legal career representing those who have been wronged in Central New York. He is married and has five children that he greatly enjoys spending time with. He also enjoys spending his free time weight-training and trapshooting.Peter is on the board of directors at the DeWitt Fish and Game Club Inc. and Bridgeport Rod and Gun. Peter participates in the clubs weekly trap leagues, as well as New York State trap shooting competitions.  Peter has won several competitions, and was the 2016 High Gun Champion representing DeWitt Fish and Game Club.

Peter enjoys supporting local charities and organizations throughout Central New York including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Multiple Sclerosis Resources of Central New York and Catholic Churches in both Madison and Onondaga Counties.

About Kristin

Before joining Catalano, Kristin was an attorney with Alexander & Catalano. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Syracuse University College of Law, where she teaches in both the residential and JDinteractive programs. Ms. Walker practiced civil litigation as an associate at the law firms of Barclay Damon LLP and Costello, Cooney & Fearon PLLC in Syracuse, NY, where she managed numerous insurance defense and insurance coverage matters.

Prior to that, Kristin was an associate at McCarter & English LLP in the firm’s New York City office. At McCarter, Kristin practiced within the firm’s corporate, securities, and financial institutions practice group.

Kristin graduated cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 2008, where she was Managing Editor of the Syracuse Law Review from 2007-2008. While in law school, she clerked for Judge David N. Hurd of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and interned at the U.S. District Attorney’s Office. Kristin received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Villanova University in 2002.

Kristin is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey. She is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association and the Onondaga County Bar Association.

Ms. Walker served a number of years with ECHO Meals-on Wheels, Inc., an organization devoted to providing home-delivered meals to homebound individuals due to accident, illness, or frailty.

About James

Throughout his lengthy career, Jamie has represented individuals in the Courts of New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. He has successfully obtained trial verdicts, settlements, and overall results for thousands of  clients.
Jamie studied law and became an attorney because he recognized from a young age that the law does not always apply equally. His lifelong motivation has been to protect his clients facing difficult life situations, and to fight for fairness in the legal system. 

Jamie is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Pennsylvania State Bar Association, and the District of Columbia Bar Association.

Jamie is a native Syracusan, a devoted father, and spends much of his free time at home raising his son. He also volunteers as an assistant basketball and football coach at Bishop Ludden High School.

ABOUT SHERRI

Sherri is a Paralegal with Catalano Law. She assists the attorneys with all aspects of personal injury claims and litigation, including automobile accidents, construction and slip and fall accidents, and wrongful death claims. Her responsibilities include case management, including organization and maintenance of the file, medical record review, and the preparation of pleadings.

Additionally, Sherri is the Office Administrator for the firm. She handles the day to day accounting and office operations at Catalano Law.  

Sherri is a 1995 graduate of Bryant and Stratton College, where she earned an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies.

Sherri enjoys spending her free time with her children Gabrielle and Nikolas.  She also enjoys her faith, cooking, golf, reading and working out. Sherri is also a Certified Personal Trainer, earning her certification in August of 2018 through International Sports Science Association (ISSA). Sherri works out at Well Rounded Health and Fitness in East Syracuse.

Sherri enjoys going to work where the team practices compassion and caring, putting their clients first. Sherri is proud to be associated with Catalano Law’s brand -Strong Lawyers, Big Hearts.

AMY ROSADO

Legal Secretary

ABOUT Amy

Amy is a Legal Secretary with Catalano Law. She assists the Attorneys with all aspects of personal injury claims. Her responsibilities include answering phones, occasionally translates for our Spanish speaking clients, case management, including organization and maintenance of the file.

Amy is a licensed New York State Notary Public and is in the process of obtaining her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Paralegal Studies through Bryant & Stratton College in August 2020.

Amy enjoys spending time with her family, significant other of 14years, sons Shahid and Shawn Jr. and her nieces and nephews. She enjoys cooking, watching movies, and traveling, one of her favorite places to visit is the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland.

Amy not only enjoys helping clients but loves the friendly and family-like atmosphere at the firm. She loves learning new things every day and having the opportunity to help people on a daily basis.

Donna Yagel-Grey

ABOUT Donna

Donna is a Receptionist and Legal Secretary with Catalano Law.  She greets clients in the office and over the phone, performs clerical duties and helps in whatever capacity she is needed.

Donna is a 2007 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Education.
Donna has worked with Peter before, but after a few years went out to pursue her dream of being a nanny.

After ten years, Donna has moved back to Central New York, married to Jason with their amazing son, Sammy, who they adopted in 2016. She joined the Catalano Law team in February of 2020.

Donna enjoys spending her free time with her family and close friends.  She enjoys being part of her church, reading, playing games, baking, cake decorating, but most of all being a mom and wife.

Donna was in a severe car accident in 2014 which took her on her own personal injury journey.  However, this gave her a new perspective of the law and gave her the ability to empathize with the clients that call in to Catalano Law, who are needing not only an amazingly strong team, but people who truly care about them and the situations they have gone through.  Donna feels proud and blessed to be a part of the team at Catalano Law.

Michael is a 2018 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, NY. He is studying Marketing at St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY as a part of the future class of 2022.

Michael is the middle child of five. He enjoys lifting weights, trap shooting with his dad and brothers, and playing with his dogs in his free time. Michael is also a fishing enthusiast with his sister Grace.

Michael is an enthusiastic member of the Catalano Law team, who is willing to go out of his way to serve our clients.
